About Vivek Patil
Graphite & Charcoal Studio is run by Vivek Patil — resident artist at Bhuvi by Amsha and passionate art educator. After a hugely successful Summer Drawing Classes programme, the studio now runs year-round every Saturday.
"Every perfect drawing is built on two things — a perfect outline and perfect shading. That is it. Nothing else."
The goal is simple: by end of the year every student should be able to draw realistic portraits of their choice, with smooth shading, confident perspectives, and a strong understanding of light and shadow.
Curriculum
Four progressive terms, each building on the last. Every student reaches the same goal by March — regardless of where they started.
Term 1 · Jul – Sep
Pencil grip, line quality, value scales, hatching, blending, sphere shading, eye, nose, lips, ear and face proportions using Loomis method.
Term 2 · Oct – Dec
Full face portraits from reference, hair texture, grid method, skin texture, dramatic lighting and chiaroscuro technique.
Term 3 · Jan – Mar
Charcoal techniques, kneadable eraser highlights, animal portraits, reflective surfaces and a year-end showcase with certificates.
All Year
Exclusive YouTube tutorials uploaded every week — scripted as individual tutoring sessions. Watch at home, practise, then deepen in class.

Batches
Each batch is capped at 16 students so every child gets personal guidance every Saturday. Same syllabus, same goals — just a setting where your child is never lost in the crowd.
Saturday · 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
A mix of summer batch alumni and experienced newcomers — pushing into advanced shading, portraiture and realism together.
Saturday · 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
A mix of younger kids and complete beginners — building confident foundations in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
How it works
Watch the tutorial
A private tutorial is uploaded every week — scripted like a personal teaching session.
Practise at home
Draw along with the video before Saturday. Come to class already halfway there.
Deepen in class
Same concept, different drawings. Doubts get cleared, technique gets sharper, confidence grows.
Missed a class?
Attend the following week across both batches — 2 to 5 PM. No caps, no conditions.
